Van 21 tot 25 mei 2018 vindt de 16th Conference of the International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists (IACIS2018) in Rotterdam plaats. 

De International Association of Colloid and Interface Scientists is een vrijwillige, non-profit organisatie die is opgericht in 1979 voor mensen die geïnteresseerd dan wel actief zijn in de colloid en interface wetenschap. De Association heeft tot doel het promoten van internationale samenwerking tussen wetenschappers die zich met colloid en interface bezighouden en om het vakgebied vooruit te helpen en het begrip ervan te vergroten. 

Om dit te bereiken wordt er om de drie jaar een IACIS-conferentie gehouden, elke keer op een andere plaats georganiseerd door actieve leden. Informatie vindt u op www.iacis.nl. 

Op dit moment heeft IACIS zo’n 550 leden afkomstig uit 45 landen. Een groot deel van deze leden is samen met hun onderzoeksgroep elke drie jaar aanwezig op de conferentie. Ook zijn er onderzoekers uit de industrie en de academische wereld aanwezig. 

De conferentie is dit jaar in Nederland  en daarom is het een uitgelezen kans voor uw leden om de conferentie bij te wonen. Daarom zouden wij u willen vragen om de conferentie bij uw leden onder de aandacht te brengen. In de bijlage vindt u de sponsor brochure. 

Men kan zich tot 28 februari 2018 registeren voor de Early Bird registratie fee. Na 28 februari gaat de prijs omhoog. Men kan zich makkelijk en snel registeren via de conferentie website.

The 7th Belgian-Dutch Gravitational Waves Meeting will be hosted by the Van Swinderen Institute for Particle Physics and Gravity at the University of Groningen, on 29 May 2018. This event aims to bring together astronomers and physicists interested in gravitational wave science and for researchers to inform each other of recent developments and new projects. 

 The meeting will start at 10:30am with a keynote lecture. In addition, there will be overview talks on general topics/experiments as well as contributed talks on specific projects. The day will be closed with drinks and snacks.
