De Kaiser Lente Lezingen is een reeks lezingen georganiseerd door Kaiser tijdens de lente. De lezingen zijn razend populair sinds ze voor het eerst in 2014 georganiseerd werden. Voor de lezingen worden sterrenkundigen uitgenodigd om te spreken over hun onderzoek voor algemeen publiek. Het vindt plaats in de Oude Sterrewacht (Leiden).
De Kaiser Lente Lezingen zijn een initiatief van de Universiteit Leiden en het Leidsch Astronomisch Dispuut ‘F. Kaiser’. Dit is een dispuut voor alle sterrenkunde studenten in Leiden, van eerstejaars tot promovendi. L.A.D. ‘F. Kaiser‘ is vernoemd naar Frederik Kaiser, de oprichter en eerste directeur van de Oude Sterrewacht. Het dispuut organiseert vele activiteiten voor de studenten, van borrels en voetbaltoernooien tot lezingen en museumbezoeken en wordt volledig door studenten beheerd.
Het thema van dit jaar is: Exploring the Milky Way Galaxy!
Bij dit thema hebben wij de volgende vier lezingen:
7 maart: Europ to the Moon and Mars - Prof. Bernard Foing (ESA/ESTEC)
14 maart: Exoplaneten en de zoektocht naar buitenaards leven - Prof. Ignas Snellen (Universiteit Leiden)
21 maart: The Interstellar Medium and the Building Blocks of Life - Dr. ir. Annemieke Petrignani (Universiteit van Amsterdam)
28 maart: LOFAR: zwarte gaten en grote schokken in het heelal - Prof. Huub Röttgering (Universiteit Leiden)

WIQD (pronounced "wicked") is a professional network for quantum technology enthusiasts from industry, academia and policy. Our mission is to bring together women in quantum in the Netherlands, and beyond, for support, networking, and community growth.
