Daytime Transport and Parking

The Gorlaeus Building is a 25-minute walk from Leiden Central Station. There are also regular bus services; check www.9292.nl or Google Maps for more information.

For those driving, there is plenty of parking space available for FYSICA attendees in the Ehrenfestweg parking garage (paid), located opposite the conference venue, including six spaces for people with disabilities. A bit further away, there is free parking near the McDonald's in Oegstgeest or around the Endegeesterstraatweg.

Daytime Accessibility

The Gorlaeus Building is easily accessible.

Opposite the Ehrenfestweg garage, there is an entrance for wheelchair users on the ground floor of the dish-shaped building, which leads to an elevator. There are also two parking spaces for people with disabilities. At the start of the day, students will be available to open the door, and the concierge can be reached at the phone number on the door (071-5276454). The ground-floor entrance can also be used by stand holders of the FYSICA market who need to unload goods and want to use the elevator.

Evening Program in the City

Drivers attending the evening program are advised to park at Parking Leiden Haagweg (6 euros for 2 hours or 9 euros for 3 hours). From there, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the Boerhaave Museum or the Old Observatory. Normally, free shuttle buses run from the Haagweg parking lot to these locations, but due to the Singelloop (starting at 7:30 PM), they will not run around 7-8 PM. They will resume service around 9 PM, once the Singelloop is over.

For those using public transport, there will be a shuttle bus after dinner from the Gorlaeus Building to the city center (Parking Leiden Haagweg). Departure 19.00 hours. From the parking, it is a 10-15 minute walk to the Boerhaave Museum or the Old Observatory. Normally, shuttle buses also run to the city center, but due to the Singelloop, they will not be operating in the early evening. However, they will probably run when the evening activities for FYSICA 2025 are finishing.

The Boerhaave Museum is fully accessible for wheelchair users. Information about the Old Observatory will follow.

Vervoer overdag

Het Gorlaeus Gebouw ligt op 25 minuten lopen vanaf het Centraal Station van Leiden. Er rijden ook zeer regelmatig busssen, check hiervoor www.9292.nl of google maps.

Voor mensen die met de auto komen is in de parkeergarage Ehrenfestweg (betaald) tegeonver de congreslocatie genoeg parkeerruimte voor FYSICA-bezoekers, o.a. zes plekken voor mindervaliden. Iets verderop, o.a. bij de McDonald's Oegstgeest of rondom de Endegeesterstraatweg, is gratis parkeergelegenheid.

Toegankelijkheid overdag

Het Gorleaus Gebouw is goed toegankelijk.

Tegenover garage Ehrenfestweg is op de begane grond van het schotelgebouw een ingang voor rolstoelgebruikers, die leidt naar een lift. Ook daar zijn twee parkeerplaatsen voor mindervaliden. Aan het begin van de dag zullen er studenten zijn om de deur open te houden, via een telefoonnummer op dezelfde deur (071-5276454) is de portier te bereiken. Wie denkt mogelijk assistentie nodig te hebben kan vooraf contact leggen met bureau@nnv.nl

De ingang op de begane grond kan ook worden gebruikt door standhouders, die goederen willen uitladen en naar binnen brengen met de lift.

Avondprogramma in de stad

Autogebruikers kunnen voor het avondprogramma het beste parkeren op Parking Leiden Haagweg (6 euro voor 2 uur, of 9 euro voor 3 uur). Daarvandaan is het 10 à 15 minuten lopen naar Rijksmuseum Boerhaave of de Oude Sterrewacht. Normaal gesproken rijden er vanaf parking Haagweg gratis shuttlebusjes naar deze locaties, maar vanwege de Singelloop (starttijd 19.30 uur) rijden die niet rond 19 à 20 uur. Ze rijden wel weer rond een uur of 21, als de Singelloop voorbij is.

Voor mensen die met het OV zijn gekomen is er na het diner busvervoer vanaf het Gorlaeus Gebouw naar het centrum (parking Leiden Haagweg). Daarvandaan is het 10 à 15 minuten lopen naar Rijksmuseum Boerhaave of de Oude Sterrewacht. Normaal zijn er ook shuttlebusjes het centrum in, maar vanwege de Singelloop rijden die niet in de vroege avond, maar wél weer later, als de avondactiviteiten van FYSICA 2025 voorbij zijn. 

Rijksmuseum Boerhaave is goed toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers. Informatie over de Oude Sterrewacht volgt.
